This Senior Quantity Surveyor (FM) position is working for a leading FM service provider on a PFI contract and advising on all commercial aspects of the Hard FM contract.

Our client is a leading FM service provider who are working on a PFI contract providing the hard FM and maintenance services for the contract.

Description

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor on this contract you will be working and advising on all commercial aspects of the contract. The brief itself is very extensive given the size and complexity of the contract however some of the key points of this role are outlined below:

• Providing commercial support during the tendering process
• Ensuring that all procurement activity is meeting the needs of the contract in an efficient manner
• Carrying out gap analysis between packages to ensure that full and complete subcontract procurement takes place
• Preparing subcontract invitations to tender
• Working closely with supply chain to help achieve commercial goals around cost and quality of services and products
• Maximising cash flow by ensuring that all valuations and invoices are prepared and submitted on time
• Monitoring and managing of subcontract costs and ensuring that these are meeting or exceeding contractual targets
• Preparing accurate and timely CVR reports
• Identifying project related risks and ensuring that these are managed accordingly to minimise the identified risk
• Managing any contractual change and ensuring that this is always identified and recorded appropriately

Profile

The ideal candidate for this role will be expected to hold a BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Quantity Surveying and have held a similar QS or Commercial Manager position previously.

It is also desirable to have RICS professional membership.

The role is based in Coventry so applicants will be expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Coventry.
