The Estates Department at Royal Holloway is responsible for managing many of the non-academic services of the College and the development of the Estate. The Information Systems Officer acts at the principle guardian of the department’s information systems and ensures that they are operating, maintained and developed to maximize the potential of existing software and any future interfaces.
In this role you will be managing the Estates CAFM system, Planet and other essential information systems as a Super user/Administrator and will lead the department in the day to day running and service support of these ensuring that they are kept up to date in terms of software and data. Constant liaison within the department and key stakeholders and external parties will be essential to ensure that all current issues, office moves, projects and maintenance requirements are reflected in the information systems. An ability to analyse and manage statistical and complex data is essential along with managing your own workload and meeting deadlines. You should also be a good communicator with an ability to make and maintain good working relationships within the Estates team and other college departments.
Whilst our preference is to recruit an individual with a good knowledge of Planet or similar CAFM system we are willing to provide training, support and development for the right candidate to develop fully into the role.
