Our client is a large public sector body in Hertfordshire with a diverse and interesting estates portfolio. They are seeking an Interim Maintenance Manager to join their successful in-house Estates team. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the provision of their engineering services and systems to high professional standards (through an outsourced provider), to ensure regulatory compliance and continuity of business operations. 

Key Responsibilities

·Management of engineering services, including maintenance and small works projects through an outsourced technical services contractor.

·To monitor the performance of an external service provider through SLAs and KPIs, to ensure industry standards of health and safety / compliance, contractual obligations, quality of work and value for money are achieved.

·Provision of accurate financial information and contract administration, to ensure that the financial business objectives are met and that budgets are delivered to meet end of year targets.

·Procurement of contract and consultancy services and goods, within the guidelines set, to ensure that purchases are able to withstand public scrutiny.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess significant estates management experience in a similar technical management role, encompassing the maintenance of mechanical and electrical services. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance within a technical environment and have excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

The interim period is expected to last for 3-6 months.
