Take your procurement knowledge to a new level
The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised as a provider of a world-class service for the protection of nuclear material and facilities. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals to our high-performing team. As a Contracts Officer, you’ll get to build your public sector procurement knowledge in a unique organisation.
Procurement at the Civil Nuclear Constabulary is a critical matter. It’s vital that we meet legal obligations and achieve value for money. Join us and you’ll have the chance to gain experience in a fast-paced, highly regulated setting. Your main task will be to scope, award, manage and evaluate a broad range of CNC contracts.
We’re looking for expert advice and a prompt, professional service. You’ll manage tenders from end-to-end, spot potential new areas of supply and encourage best practice. You’ll also support the continuous improvement of commercial terms and conditions, policies and service level agreements. It’s all about creating a function that’s as effective as possible.
With MCIPS membership (or working towards this), you’ll have solid experience in commercial or public sector Procurement. With this background, you’ll be used to developing strategies and giving stakeholders first-class guidance. It’s important that you can understand issues relating to the public sector and Crown Commercial Services initiatives. You should also be adept at negotiating and managing contracts. If you’re up-to-speed on contract law and keen to develop your skills, join us and play your part in protecting the nuclear industry.
