Working within our Business & Industry (B&I) division, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to build and maintain a targeted network of relationships across the sector to ensure OCS is fully known and engaged with new customers prior to the launch of a formal procurement process.

As the Business Development Manager for lead generation, you will be supporting the engagement strategy for B&I, developing detailed stakeholder analysis and engagement for target customers, mapping and understanding their key decision makers and influencers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Targeted lead generation within specific B&I sectors and customer types
  • Building early relationships with target customers, raising their understanding and perception of OCS
  • Working closely with the wider Business Development team to handover relationships and support through the customer journey
  • Building and maintaining a stakeholder map for target customers ensuring messaging is consistently delivered
  • Proactively attending meetings, industry events and customer events to build new relationships
  • Supporting the sector strategy development and marketing engagement plans
  • Analysing and transforming reactive / passive customer engagements points and making them proactive so as to ensure consistency of message

Experience required:

Education/Qualifications

  • Degree level education or equivalent

Working experience/Personal attributes

  • Experience of managing a broad range of customer relationships within the Facilities Management industry
  • Proven background in generating new leads and opportunities
  • Energetic, resilient & passionate
  • A self-starter and proactive
  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums, with strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Innovative and consistently looking for better ways of working
  • Enjoys the challenge of breaking down barriers
