We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Airport Trainer, to work in a varied training role within a highly motivated, professional team delivering fun, informative training to OCS staff & equipping them with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks.

This role will be working closely with the Operations Managers and National Driver Training Manager, to deliver, prepare and present quality, effective, Driver training programmes which meet the needs of our Aviation Division.

You will also be coaching individual employees on-the-job to ensure the successful transfer of classroom training whilst maintaining the high standards of service expected by our clients. This will include creating an audit trail of training, both at local level and via the Online Training Matrix.

Responsibilities will include:

Training Delivery

  • Working with the Operations Managers to deliver Driver training programmes, to include; Ambilift, Van / Crew Bus, Marshalling/Banksman Training
  • Supporting the National Driver Training Manager to continuously review the training programmes
  • Continually monitoring airport designated drivers to ensure they are compliant with OCS Driver Standards
  • Reporting any non-compliance to Operations Managers and the Driver Trainer Manager especially if Safe Systems of work have been compromised
  • Delivering appropriate training initiatives for new equipment
  • Conducting Driver assessment and re-training following any accidents/ incidents or near misses and complete relevant paperwork
  • Attending Personal Development Training as required e.g. train the trainer, buggy training, new equipment

Scheduling, Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Scheduling training and delivering against those schedules
  • Maintaining training records and training certificates to be issued. Keeping training files up to date and available for audits
  • Maintaining and populating the OCS Training Matrix for all Driver Related Training

Achieving results

  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of drivers and coaching individuals, escalating any concerns to Operations Managers

Experience required:

Education/Qualifications

  • Certificate in training practice or equivalent, or willingness to work towards achieving
  • Train the Trainer Certificate
  • Understanding of how to use MS Office, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

Working experience/Personal attributes

  • Previous training experience within a similar environment I.E. Airport/Airline staff
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
  • Ability to be a positive and a professional role model
