Our client requires a Maintenance Manager to be based at a private hospital in the East Midlands and to lead and manage on the delivery of maintenance services at the site to ensure that the hospital can function to an optimum level 24/7.

Description

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading on maintenance services across the hospital. This will involve direct line management of a small team as well as managing external contractors who are contracted in to provide specialist maintenance services. Typical tasks will include:

• Managing and implementing an efficient PPM programme
• Having efficient maintenance records in place
• Ensuring that all statutory compliance is adhered to across the site
• Ensuring that all third party contractors adhere to health & safety regs when on site
• Managing the tender process when going out to third party contractors
• Maintaining and managing medical gasses on site
• Carrying out weekly fire alarm tests

Profile

The ideal Maintenance Manager would have previously worked within a healthcare setting however our client is willing to consider applicants from other backgrounds who can demonstrate a solid technical background with an electrical or mechanical qualification being highly desirable.

Applicants will be expected to be well versed with building management systems and CAFM systems.

The role is based in the East Midlands and there will be some occasional on call work so applicants will need to live in or around the East Midlands region in order to be able to react to any emergency on call situations.

Job Offer

A salary of up to £35,000 plus pension and private health care is on offer.
