Job Details

A large NHS organisation is currently looking to appoint an interim Senior Estates professional for an initial period of 3 months. 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Hold an integral role within the Estates & Facilities Team supporting front line clinical teams to provide the best care possible whilst enabling financial sustainability through increased efficiency and reduced cost;
  • Provide a responsive and customer focussed service helping achieve the highest standards together with policy and strategy implementation;
  • Ensure that all elements of the Trust’s estates and facilities services are compliant with statutes and regulations, national & local targets and are compliant with the requirements of the CQC and other regulatory bodies;
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance of the Trust Properties, including compliance with all applicable HTM & HBN guidance;
  • Ensure clear systems are in place to carry out comprehensive annual condition surveys, risk assessments and audits to monitor the estates service performance, analysing results and implementing regimes to minimise unexpected failures, risks and legislative non-compliance;
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the local system playing an active role in the development of system-wide work supporting streamlined use of public sector estate.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Degree level or equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, energy or other building related subject and further specialist knowledge acquired through post-graduate courses;
  • Experience of managing estates and facilities services within a hospital/healthcare environment.
