An exciting opportunity has arisen for an account Director to take over a contract in the North East covering an acute healthcare portfolio on behalf of a large, well reputed client.


Your new role

As a proven PFI Account Director you will be responsible for the strategic and operational running of the services for the whole portfolio. You deliver will market leading strategic account management and customer experience. The crux of this role is to create, engage and lead high performing teams in growing the business whilst ensuring a safe, compliant, profitable and effective service delivery through operational excellence.

What you'll need to succeed

Whilst all applications will be given due consideration this role is business critical and as such has an extensive and selective set of requirements covering various key indicators.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience of working in a similar role with a portfolio more than £10m per annum.
  • Significant management, leadership and commercial experience at senior level in large, complex, multi-stakeholder organisations within Healthcare PFI.
  • Demonstrable evidence of developing and sustaining a customer focused culture.
  • Proven track record of successful financial and commercial management.
  • Considerable experience in leading and motivating high performance teams.
  • Experience in managing contracts to achieve high quality services and outcomes.
  • Able to understand contract obligations and corporate governance in detail, conveying the appropriate aspects to team members.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate to the benefit of all parties.
  • Skilled at building, motivating and leading team performance to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen at operational level with the ability to create and deliver successful financial plans.

To succeed in your new role, you will need a commercial mind to push and develop the existing contract. Experience in a previous PFI contract is essential and applications from a deputy contracts manager will be considered at this stage. You will be approachable and visible on site as well as engaged with your team and the client to deliver a high level of service.
