Facilities Manager

Would you like to help deliver a total Facilities Management (FM) service for our advanced trainer aircraft? We currently have a vacancy for a Facilities Manager at our site in RAF Valley, Anglesey.

As a Facilities Manager, you will act as the focal point for all facilities management related activities across the Hawk UK Support, ensuring governance and compliance with all relevant legislation in order to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

This senior role will provide you with a unique opportunity to work on the day to day Hawk availability, liaising with key stakeholders including the MOD’s Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S).

Your main responsibilities as a Facilities Manager will involve: 

Ensuring a safe working environment for all users of the premises by effective contractor control, audits and inspections

Providing proactive and reactive advice with an awareness of statutory and legislative requirements to deliver the scope of services within the remit of the duties assigned

Developing and maintaining the relevant SHE Premises plans

Establishing and maintaining good relationships with the MOD PT (project team), customer, RAF / Station personnel, Hawk UK Support, and Facilities Management service providers

Monitoring quality standards and identifying areas of poor performance for resolution, ensuring operating procedures are adhered to and quality procedures are followed

Planning and delivering (directly or with the support of the Investment Projects Team as required), all facilities management related projects required to ensure effective business operations / continuity

Developing and maintaining project plans / programmes as required to provide management visibility and ensure timely implementation of the required deliverables 

 

Your skills and qualifications as a Facilities Manager:

Sound fundamental knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental requirements within an FM environment.

Broad understanding of all aspects of Facilities Management covering the full range of services including: total facilities management (hard & soft services), production maintenance, project delivery, accommodation management, CAFM, property management, business continuity, infrastructure management & engineering standards.

Ability to demonstrate proven customer focus and service skills within a Facilities Management environment.

Knowledge and experience of delivering a facilities management service to specific SLA’s and KPI’s, in particular relating to BAE Systems aircraft availability programmes at remote sites.
