As the Account Manager you will be the liaison between our prestigious client and the operational management team - driving successful achievement of KPIs, escalating client complaints to the operational management team, providing feedback on actions and developing action plans to ensure our teams deliver on what is promised.

This position will provide a quality service delivery to our customer, ensuring KPIs are achieved and operational management are dealing with issues promptly. You will be building an important relationship with the client based on consistent and quality service delivery with the foundations of the client relationship being trust, open communication and keeping our promises.

Your aim will be to have an active hands on management approach to the site leads, supervisors and staff, to make sure we retain existing business along with the potential of achieving further growth for new work.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing expectations and the delivery of all services on the contract, making sure our teams are providing consistently high levels of performance that meet contractual obligations and strategic objectives of the client
  • Identifying and developing appropriate opportunities to grow the business within the client organisation, either by extending the scope of the contract that we have or introducing other OCS products where it adds value to the client in partnership with operational management and the sales team
  • Complying with client, company, and legal requirements such as Health & Safety, ensuring the display of notices, first aid and accident reporting, achieving compliance with ISO standards
  • Engaging with the client's site contacts to ensure their involvement (inclusion and buy-in) in any project or change work
  • Ensuring all data and MI relevant to the accounts are shared, displayed and accurate in all aspects, to ensure accurate and timely billing monthly
  • Making sure the specified and correct standards of services are established and maintained and that any deficiency is reported and remedied promptly

Experience required:

Education/Qualifications

  • Member of relevant professional bodies within Facilities Management, such as BIFM
  • Professional qualifications degree standard (e.g. Dip FM) - desirable
  • IT literate - proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Working experience/Personal attributes

  • Proven experience of managing people within the Soft Services industry, ensuring that a team delivers on expectations
  • Previous background of liaising directly with the client and ensuring service levels and KPIs are met
  • Strong knowledge of Soft Services (Cleaning, Catering, Security)
  • Experience of managing projects within a Facilities Management environment could work well in this role - desirable
  • Ability to influence Operational Managers
  • Able to devise action plans and implement
  • Knowledge of billing, raising purchase orders etc. - desirable
  • Good communication skills and able to build positive relationships with clients and work colleagues
  • Team player
  • Customer focused and committed to delivery
