A great opportunity to join a well-established facilities management team at leading leisure attraction, Chill Factore. The role is full-time and interim for up to 6 months. The successful applicant will, together with the Head of Facilities Management, be responsible for the warm-side of the Centre. He or she will help to oversee, manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of the building. Their key responsibilities will be as follows:
- To undertake repairs throughout the building where required.
- To ensure that all warm side elements of the facility are maintained to a high standard.
- To ensure that the facility takes a guest orientated approach to presentation and cleanliness.
- To assist in the auditing of external contractors ensuring that their service provision is in line with contracts.
- To review all service charge contracts with the Head of FM to ensure best service and value for money.
- To make recommendations for improvements to building/facilities provided.
- To ensure that all Health and Safety policies are implemented and that the department is in compliance with all legislation and guidelines applicable to the relevant areas.
- To ensure that all equipment around the facility (internal and external) is fit for use and well maintained.
- To ensure Health and Safety signage around the centre is compliant with the relevant regulations.
The successful applicant will need to know:
- Previous maintenance/facilities experience is desirable.
- An aptitude for problem solving and “hand-on” working.
- Ability to identify and fix problems with a minimum of management support.
- A working practical knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook and Excel.
- An ability to demonstrate a guest focused approach to all tasks. An ability to lead by example with high energy levels and able to interact at all levels with the whole team.
- Ability to deal with Guests and employees in demanding situations.
- Able to implement and drive a Values driven culture of delivering results through the team.
- Showing empathy/care/tact/interpersonal sensitivity/understanding towards others- to build and manage strengths amongst the team.
- An ability to build rapport with all levels of the team and the wider business which will deliver inspiration and delivery of results by the team.
