Residential Contracts Manager

The University of Bristol is a thriving and international community, dedicated to learning, discovery and enterprise. Situated in the heart of Bristol, it is a major force in the life and economy of South West England and a world leader in research.
The accommodation team house over 6,500 students across catered, self-catered and partnership halls of residences. Accommodation is of key strategic importance to the university, with a direct impact on the student experience. This role will focus on ensuring a consistent, customer focused, service throughout our accommodation portfolio.
This newly created post of Residential Contracts Manager will act as the strategic point between the university and their student accommodation partnerships. This is a fundamental role in the strategy to deliver high quality accommodation and an exceptional student / customer experience. You will develop and implement procedures for auditing service delivery, both internally & externally. You will carry out operational audits of the contracts ensuring that they are adhering to the contractual obligations, alongside ensuring operational compliance; monitoring performance and key performance indicators against the agreed service level agreements.
You will work closely with the Head of Business Operations and the Head of Facilities Management to identify models of best practice, within the residential portfolio, that can be developed and delivered to provide a standardised operational delivery programme, which will enhance the student experience.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in leading performance and audit processes for accommodation, property or facilities management contracts. Understanding of residential leases would be beneficial.
This could be an ideal career move for individuals who have successfully worked within service provision but are looking to progress their career “client side” in a strategic role.
