Facilities management role for an education oriented charity, based in London and paying £35,000 - £40,000.

Your new company

Your new company is an international charity centred around the belief that all children deserve high quality education, regardless as to their socio-economic background. Beginning as just one school in the UK, they now have a portfolio of almost 40 establishments, through which they carry out their work. They still only work in communities in which they can make the biggest difference to the lives of the local children, and all of their academies are non-selective. A truly innovative organisation to be a part of.

Your new role

You will provide first line customer support to all inquiries and issues raised locally and from regional centres and take the lead role on H&S and environmental matters, as well as provide the effective line-management of the facilities team. You will ensure that the buildings and all internal and external activities and events comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, licensing laws and other legal regulations. Contact liaison, and regular reviews and updates of the PPM schedule, as well as the management of the FM help-desk will be your responsibility.

What you'll need to succeed

You will hold the IOSH Managing Safely Certificate, as well as having significant experience of managing premises and central office functions. Experience of financial management and delegated budget control, as well as the management of health and safety are also key. You will be able to identify and troubleshoot problems, resolving them promptly and efficiently, demonstrating at all times excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to prioritise workload and deal calmly with conflicting priorities, and have experience of office moves and preparing office design layouts. The knowledge of and the ability to comply with safeguarding procedures are essential. Holding a valid driving license is desirable, as well as practical handyperson/maintenance skills. It would be beneficial for you to have understanding and experience of working in the education sector .

What you'll get in return

As well as a £35,000 - £40,000 per annum salary, you will be able to apply for relocation and recruitment bonuses. You will also have access to their rewards scheme offering up to £1000 a year in savings from over 3000 major retailers, and interest free loans of up to £5000 available for season tickets or bicycles. There are also gym discounts offering up to 40% off your local gym.
