As the Commercial Manager you will be reporting into the Commercial Director and you will be responsible for leading and managing commercial activities across the business unit; influencing negotiations with clients, customers and business associates, and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Michael Page are partnered with one of our key clients who are a large service provider, and we are looking for a highly experience Commercial Manager with a RICS accredited QS background, or a ACA/CIMA Finance background, to lead their commercial efforts in the North.

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategy.

• Strategic commercial interface with Directors to provide advice and recommendations to support continued business improvement.

• Lead, shape and monitor all commercial activities, working alongside senior managers on the PFI/FM contracts to ensure efficient delivery of investment plans through contracted operations.
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure departments follow industry best practice.

• Develop and implement commercial strategies and processes across the business to drive best value from the contracts and promote effective strategies for dispute avoidance.

• Influence negotiations with clients, customers and business associates.
• Provide input and assist Divisional and Winning work teams to develop proposals to secure new opportunities.
• Develop an understanding of the wider finance and property issues that may affect the Facilities business.
• Identify, manage, reduce and drive out unnecessary costs and inefficient activities.
• Maximise cash flow through timely preparation of valuations, submission of invoices and receipt of payment.
• Maintain a high level understanding of planning and programming to ensure accurate progress reporting.

Profile

Key Competencies

• The commercial aspects of the company's portfolio of PFI contracts will be lead by you.
• MRICS accredited QS background or an ACA/CIMA Finance Background with a clear transition to Commercial Management.

• 7 years plus experience in a Commercial Management role

• Ideally with PFI experience in terms of contracts, pay mech, CAFM systems.
