This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Estates or Senior Facilities Manager to take the lead of the mobilsation of a brand new state of the art corporate office building in Birmingham. The role will then evolve in to the day to day operational management of the newly occupied building.

Our client is a public sector organisation who have heavily invested in a significant project to transform their estate and change the way that their work force operates.

Description

Initially you will be taking the lead on the mobilisation of a brand new and state of the art office building in Birmingham. This will involve reviewing building designs and service delivery plans and truly being able to influence and shape the direction of this prior to the building being occupied.

The role will of course evolve as the building becomes occupied and you will be tasked with leading a team who will be responsible for the day to day operations of how the building is ran and ensuring that the building is fully operational 24 hours a day in order to support the dynamic agile work space that you will have helped implement.

Day to day you will be responsible for making and supporting decisions that will impact the running of the estate. You will develop relationships with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure that there is a high calibre of service delivery from the estates team at all times.

As well as managing the delivery of FM services, you will also be responsible for ensuring that all compliance and statutory obligations are met across the building and that the work space is a safe environment at all times.

Profile

To be considered for this position applicants will be expected to demonstrate a background of having lead on the delivery of estates management and FM services across either a large corporate office building or a wider estate made up of regional/national offices.

Applicants will also be expected to hold IWFM Level 6 or equivalent.

This is a Birmingham based role so applicants will ideally live in or around the Birmingham region.
