This role will be leading the delivery of strategic, innovative, efficient and commercial Soft Facilities Management (FM) services to a prestigious Government contract.

An experienced senior level FM professional, you'll drive the delivery of soft services within a region, ensuring levels of performance that meet both contractual obligations and strategic objectives. With strong interpersonal skills, you'll build a network of close partnerships to deliver strong contract performance, retention and growth.

Delivering services within defined financial targets is key, and you'll liaise with the Finance team to manage your budget, identify trends, manage debt and contribute to the budgetary and financial planning process. You'll also work with the sales and bid teams to retain, develop and grow the business, identifying and evaluating new opportunities where possible and taking ownership for key client relationships.

With a proven record of managing, motivating, developing and retaining a dispersed workforce, you'll lead a team of managers to ensure they drive the business forward and build the company's reputation. You'll also be responsible for driving compliance across the region in relation to Group HR policies, with particular emphasis on recruitment, vetting, immigration, induction, disciplinaries and training.

Health, safety and quality are also key, and you'll liaise with colleagues and statutory bodies to ensure compliance with company and industry regulations with emphasis on ISO quality systems.

Summary of responsiblities:

  • To lead and develop the business to deliver full FM services within regional remit under the NEC3 contract
  • Responsible for the delivery of the strategic, innovative, efficient and quality of service provided to all clients delivering the agreed budgetary guidelines
  • To ensure the profitable, efficient and safe operations of locations within your regional remit retaining full management of the P&L under the OCS governance
  • Manage the KPI and SLA performance for the region and support the Government business targets
  • To provide a quality service delivery to all customers in accordance with company procedures through a highly motivated and appropriately trained team of operational support staff
  • To retain existing business along with achieving relevant growth targets
  • Develop the team to meet the contract manning levels and support the company succession planning needs
  • To lead a team of managers and site staff to ensure they drive the business forward building the business reputation
  • To provide consistently elevated levels of performance, meeting and exceeding contractual obligations and strategic objectives
  • Ownership for key client relationships, contract performance, retention and growth

Experience required:

Education/Qualifications

  • Good standard of education, Including Maths and English
  • Relevant professional FM membership or qualification - e.g. BIFM, BICS
  • Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.

Working experience/Personal attributes

  • Strong senior management experience, have previously managed a team of managers within a multi-site, multi-soft service environment
  • A proven track record in delivering effective Soft Services whilst maintaining operating margins
  • Evidence of having led and achieved business growth and development
  • Proven background of senior operational management experience which has been gained within the Facilities Services industry with full P&L accountability of £1million+
  • Strong commercial acumen, with high levels of literacy and numeracy
  • Good knowledge of managing soft services including cleaning, catering and security
  • Self-motivated, with a flexible and results-orientated approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, outgoing and confident team player, who takes pride in their work, capable of showing initiative and is able to think quickly and commercially on their feet
  • A highly organised approach, with the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively
