Would a "blank canvas" client side Head of Facilities role interest you? If so then read on...

Client Details

Full details of our client will be disclosed to applicants meeting the skills criteria.

Description

This is truly a "blank canvas" role and an opportunity for an ambitious Head of Facilities who wants to take on a new challenge and shape and influence how facilities management is ran operationally day to day.

There is an appetite within the business to bring on board a reputable service provider for certain elements of facilities to be outsourced to but this exercise will require a full review of facilities in the initial instance in order to establish what can and should be outsourced. You will also need to review existing suppliers and contracts to determine what changes should be made. This exercise will likely form the starting point of your role.

You will take the strategic lead on the day to day operations of the site which will include all elements of soft services such as reception, security, catering and waste management. There will be several direct reports into this role who will assist with the administrative side of FM.

There is also a significant amount of CAPEX work that is both taking place currently and in the pipeline for the coming 12 months so you will have a have a significant role to play in the strategic management side of these projects.

Profile

As this is a new function within the business, our client is looking for an individual who can influence senior stakeholders within the business in order to get the "buy in" on where FM will have an impact on their part of the business.

The Head of Facilities will be the authority within the business for all FM related activity so applicants will be expected to have operated at a senior level within either a client side or service provider position and have full TFM experience with associated qualifications/membership such as IFWM membership or equivalent. It is also expected that applicants will hold a health & safety qualification such as NEBOSH.

Whilst some travel is anticipated, the majority of the role will be based out of the East Midlands so applicants will need to live in or around the East Midlands region.
