You'll be working within our fast growing total facilities management (TFM) division, managing the delivery of integrated soft and hard services across a national contract with a recognised brand.

Our ongoing success means that we are looking to add to our team with the appointment of a Senior Facilities Manager. This position will require a dynamic & forward thinker to take total management responsibility for the efficient delivery of multiple soft and hard services across the contract, driving excellent customer service.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering an excellent workplace experience to customers, focusing on operational delivery and service compliance, reactive works and supplier relationships
  • Managing and developing the Facilities Managers and Area Facilities Managers both through mentoring and formal training
  • Working with the client and their FM team to define and implement TFM strategy, challenging convention and delivering continuous service improvement
  • Taking an active part in the logging, investigating and remedying of HSQE concerns
  • Actively engaging in the provision of service innovation projects, programs and processes
  • Keeping the client contract owner informed and updated through formal and informal communications
  • Controlling costs of both direct and indirect service delivery and operating to budgetary constraints
  • Managing the CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) system to ensure that all jobs are logged and closed and investigating when this is not the case. Continually updating and improving the CAFM workflow
  • Ensuring that all contractors abide to the OCS standards and work in a safe manner
  • Providing monthly reports to the Contract Manager on the works completed for the sites under your supervision
  • Line managing the Facilities Managers & Area Facilities Managers
  • Undertaking routine inspections of the sites including daily maintenance checks, health & safety checks, soft service audits and welfare checks
  • Having accountability for heating and lighting systems throughout the premises; arranging to remedy any problems and to participate in cost saving projects
  • Undertaking and documenting a risk assessment of the whole site and other risk assessments/health and safety checks as directed by the Health & Safety Officer
  • Managing and controlling costs in your area of responsibility for the cluster of buildings

We are looking for a dynamic individual with the drive and motivation to constantly challenge both their teams and themselves in the pursuit of excellence and constant improvement. You'll have a demonstrable track record of delivering award winning services and exceeding client expectations in a TFM environment. In addition, you will need:

Education/Qualifications

  • Hold professional membership (CIBSE,BIFM,IOSH)
  • IT Skills including Microsoft Office and CAFM software platforms
  • Awareness of legislation relating to building compliance

Working experience/Personal attributes

  • Senior management experience across a range of Facilities Service disciplines
  • Proven track record in delivering 5-star services to clients
  • Experience of managing multi-service and multi-site facilities service contracts
  • Previous experience of having full budget accountability
  • Ability to manage other managers
  • Good attention to detail
  • Competent in performance measurement, analysis and reporting techniques
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • To be reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work
