To lead delivery and performance of the Regulatory Compliance Team in the development and implementation of innovative, effective management of statutory compliance across the Council's operational property portfolio. Overseeing the compliance team's management of construction safety (CDM) in major and minor construction works programmes. Act as the responsible competent person for Statutory Regulatory Compliance within Property Services and lead on the development of building fire safety strategy, legionella and asbestos management policy, procedures and processes.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in relevant Management or Technical Management related subject.
  • Professional Diploma in Safety, Health & Environmental Management.
  • C&G Construction or M&E Building Services engineering based qualification.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate/NVQ level 3 Qualification in Occupation H&S Management.
  • Proven track record of construction related project safety management in accordance with HSE requirements.
  • Detailed knowledge of the building regulations (particularly Approved Document B) and all BS standards relevant to property and construction.
