This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new and expanding team and play a key role in developing and implementing the School’s ambitious Infrastructure Strategy.

The Uppingham School estate covers 120 non-contiguous acres. 24 buildings are listed (Grades I – II) including teaching blocks, assembly buildings, boarding houses, staff housing, administrative and technical accommodation, and sports facilities.  A programme of new buildings followed full co-education in 2001, including a dual-use Sports Centre and a RIBA national-award winning Science Centre, completed in 2014.

As Estates Compliance & Asset Manager you will support the Estates Team by providing a range of services, covering operational management, documentation, record keeping, monitoring, auditing and statutory compliance relating to the management, safety and development of the estate.

You will be our expert technical point of contact, ensuring the School is compliant at all times, delivering a comprehensive risk-based compliance monitoring programme, as well as creating and establishing an asset list for the estate and negotiating contracts for service delivery.

Membership by qualification of the Institute of Workplace & Facilities Management (formerly BIFM) or a relevant building services professional organisation (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE, IEE etc.) would be advantageous.

Key to the role will be previous effective experience of a compliance and/or facilities/property management role in a large, multi-site organisation, with excellent working knowledge of legislative compliance requirements.
