Client Details
My client is a globally recognised company within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
They focus on treating rare diseases and improving the overall condition of their patients lives, putting them at the centre of what they do.
Whilst they focus on the development of science and health practices they have a huge amount of research projects completed on site. Within these environments they need the relevant H&S procedures in place.
Taking on a mixed use portfolio with a variety of academic stakeholders will be tough and will require candidates with experience working in laboratory and office environments.

H&S Manager - Innovative Global Pharma Company
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the implementation of H&S management systems to ensure both legal obligations and safety culture are adequately supported
- Ensure training needs are identified, delivered and monitored
- Develop H&S systems/ procedures to enable business performance
- Collaborate with key-stakeholders, advising and supporting (including training) on their HS&E accountabilities
- Deliver and maintain ISO 45001
- Support the chair of the H&S Steering Team i.e. agenda setting and governance
- Monitor and communicate on relevant H&S trends, mitigation and resilience
- Manage the risk management system i.e. facilitating risk assessors and/or undertaking risk assessments personally and reviewing control measures in place
- Ensure vigilance systems e.g. life-safety are maintained and effective
- Manage, develop and support H&S Advisor
Profile
H&S Manager - Innovative Global Pharma Company
Key Requirements:
- Full NEBOSH Diploma and IOSH membership
- Involvement or experience within management of environmental H&S
- Previous experience of working within Life Sciences highly desirable
- Enthusiasm and passion for driving H&S, improving the overall brand of H&S within the business and communicating changes and new processes across the workforce
- Experienced in designing and implementing H&S Management systems
- Experience in implementing and delivering HS&E training programs
- Proactive and solutions oriented, with a passion for making a difference
- Ability to work autonomously, engaging with all areas in the business as a collaborative environment
