A large public sector organisation is currently looking to appoint an experienced Estates Planning professional, this role is to join the organisation on a permanent basis. The role is due to expansion of services and team. 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective management of accommodation planning locally and strategically;
  • The planning function is fundamental to the delivery of the Estates Strategy and will feed into capital schemes and backlog maintenance work streams from inception to completion;
  • Demonstrate concise organisational skills and be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and clinical teams, leading on negotiations when developing accommodation plans and moves;
  • Operate at a strategic level with an understanding of Space Planning & Utilisation of the acute estate;
  • Diligently extract project briefs and articulate business cases is an essential part of the role; track record in this aspect of work is essential;
  • Experience and knowledge of different procurement routes should be demonstrated.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Significant relevant experience working at this level including a track record of project management delivery and ability to work to strict timelines;
  • Academically qualified to degree in an Estates related discipline with knowledge of planning procedures;
  • Experience of being part of a multi-disciplinary Capital and Planning Team;
  • highly motivated and be able to demonstrate a successful track record of space planning in a complex organisation.
