The Bodleian Libraries are seeking to appoint a Facilities Project Manager to join the Support Services department. Teams in the section cover facilities management, security, engineering, maintenance, transport and post.

You will deliver a number of projects to the Bodleian Libraries buildings. These projects will take the form of building enhancements, contract tendering and procedural updates in order to bring improvements to the buildings and how the Bodleian sites run and operate.

The Facilities Projects Manager will work closely with the Support Services Team (Security, Facilities Management and Buildings Maintenance) and the Capital Project Team.

There will be variety to the work, including building and operational enhancements, procedural and system reviews and updates. There will be a strong emphasis towards leading and running projects and engaging stakeholders. A key project will be the review and update of the emergency plans across the various Bodleian Libraries sites, working with multiple stakeholders to pull together linked processes and procedures such as disaster recovery plans. The role will also provide some support to larger projects and the general day to day operation in order to assist in the smooth delivery of the Bodleian Support Services and Capital Projects.  

You will have experience of developing and delivering projects. You will have written contract specifications and carried our tendering exercises.You will be used to managing multiple contractors and working with them to get works done, within an agreed scope and in line with RAMS, which you will have signed off and agreed.

You will have a good knowledge and oversight of Health and Safety requirements. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of writing reporting and engaging with stakeholders across multiple levels. You will have strong problem solving skills within a resource and time constrained environment. You will have a flexible, collaborative and can do attitude.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 3 years.
