As the National Account Manager, you will ensure the profitable, efficient and safe operation of all soft and hard FM services supplied to our client across all locations within the UK. This is to include peripheral and sub-contract services supplied such as window cleaning, pest control, hygiene or any other service provided by OCS.

The Account Manager will provide a quality service delivery to all customers in accordance with company procedures ensuring effective and adequate financial, budgeting and analysis of direct cost and overheads. Retaining existing business along with achieving relevant growth targets for new work. You will have an active hands on approach to management of all site managers, supervisors and staff.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the delivery of all services on the contract, provide consistently high levels of performance that meet contractual obligations and strategic objectives of the client
  • Complying with client, company, and legal requirements such as H&S, ensuring the display of notices, first aid and accident reporting, achieving compliance with ISO standards
  • Controlling budgets for all staff, products and materials and understand full P&L responsibility for all sites fall under your remit
  • Ensuring the contract operates within all current legislation and client policies and that where appropriate, staff are made aware of their responsibilities in the regards
  • Maintaining staff records and training within legislation and Company policy using both in-house and external training schemes
  • Ensuring all data and MI relevant to the accounts are shared, displayed and accurate in all aspects, to ensure accurate and timely billing monthly
  • Making sure the specified and correct standards of services are established and maintained and that any deficiency is reported and remedied promptly

Experience required:

Education/Qualifications

  • Good standard of Education
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • IT literate - proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • SIA Licence desirable although training will be provided

Working experience/Personal attributes

  • Strong Account Management experience across a range of FM service disciplines
  • Previous budget accountability including the management of a team in excess of 15 employees
  • Management of industrial multi-services contracts
  • Must be self-motivated and results orientated with effective inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business
  • Able to maintain client liaison throughout site and work closely with the management teams
  • Highly organised individual with the ability to prioritise workload and delegate efficiently to direct reports
  • Ability to mentor and develop subordinates, counselling and coaching where necessary
  • High degree of interest in your own personal development and future career progression
