Catch 22 are looking for an Interim Contracts Manager to work within one of the UK's leading charities. The primary objective is a full review of their existing service contracts - notably the primary provision of M&E and Hard Services via their main service provider.  

The charity has a London estate consisting of 2 buildings, taking up 26,000 sq/m and 16,000 sq/m respectively. This is a combination of office space and public space.  

Specifically, your role will involve:

  • The day to day management of existing contracts
  • A full review of ongoing contracts
  • A review of procurement procedures across all contracts
  • A commercial review of contract delivery
  • The rebalancing of the relationship between service provider and end user to ensure that the needs of the charity are at the forefront of the maintenance delivery plan
  • A review of ongoing performance - notably with the primary service provider
  • The implementation of improvements - commercial, strategic and operational -  to ensure that the delivery of hard services meets the end users expectations; promotes a positive relationship between service provider and end user; is commercially viable for the service provider meets with improved service levels; is fit for purpose as part of a longer term asset and facilities management program; is sympathetic to life cycle management issues; etc.

About You 

We are ideally seeking someone who is:

  • Experienced on both end user and service provider sides of the FM/SP relationship
  • Experienced in a similar cultural setting - be that media, charity, big tech, etc. The environment is perhaps less “hard nosed” than high end financial, government or legal settings.
  • In possession of a relevant professional qualification such as IWFM or CIOB
  • Experienced in CAFM and PPM planning and forward maintenance experience
  • Experienced in statutory compliance management
  • Experienced in the management of contractors, monitoring and reviewing them to a range of agreed service levels
  • An experienced manager and leader - capable of developing, implementing, and maintaining systems and service standards
  • Contract and supply chain management experience including, service level agreements and performance management
  • Extremely experienced in the technical delivery of building services, electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • An excellent commercial manager with extensive experience of financial, procurement, supply chain and cost management
  • A degree level qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering or equivalent through relevant training would be beneficial.
  • Additional experience of small works / remedial project delivery (either from end user or service provider perspective) would be advantageous.

In return we are looking to offer a competitive day rate and a six month fixed term assignment schedule for this role.
