My client is a healthcare organisation based in South side of Central London who have a long history of providing essential services to the public. Although a healthcare organisation they only receive a quarter of their funding through the NHS, the remainder comes through donations via various sources including regular fundraising. The site is located on a two-acre estate with the main building surrounded by lush gardens including wildlife.

They are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Handy person to join the Facilities team. The role will be to carry out preventative and pre-planned maintenance work including plumbing and heating works, routine checks such as light bulbs and fixtures, locks, painting etc. You will work collaboratively with internal and external contractors ensuring you adhere to and follow the health and safety procedures.

The role will require an experienced Handy person who has experience with tasks such as Plumbing, Painting & Decorating, Doors, Locks and Windows. You will be a good communicator and be passionate about your role within a small in-house facilities team. You will need to be self-motivated, be able to use initiative, build and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external staff.

This position will suit an individual who is looking to give back to the community and support a good cause. This role is vital to the success and well-being of not only the organisation but the people who need to use the services.
