Job Description

You will have direct operational responsibility for FM services across the county wide portfolio of property and you will maximise commercial opportunities and income streams to strengthen the financial stability of WCC. This will include:

  • Be responsible for the delivery of a full range of hard and soft FM services in the support of the Property Commissioning function;
  • Play a key role in forward planning for the Council, ensuring facilities plans align with the transformation vision and other Council strategies;
  • Effectively manage risks for the Council;
  • Manage all financial & commercial elements of FM delivery;
  • Ensure that there is appropriate and accurate management information within the remit of FM as required; and
  • Engage with team members and key stakeholders from across the Council to ensure a collaborative and constructive relationship is maintained.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the below:

  • Senior experience in Facilities management, including the management and appraisal of large teams;
  • Demonstrated a wide range of positive behaviours from the Council framework;
  • Proven track record of managing several disciplines within Facilities Management;
  • The experience to balance and develop complicated stakeholder relationships and possess a high level of commercial acumen within a complex politically sensitive environment
  • Extensive experience of the delivery of FM Cost Improvement Plans
