This is an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to work with an established client. The role will based in the South and offer a competitive salary & package.

My client is leading transport and distribution business within the UK market.
Description
- Report directly to the General Manager/Regional engineering Manager on all safety and technical matters
- To report on a daily basis to his line manager with reference to the general running of the Refrigeration, Mechanical, MHE and Building service.
- Carry out and oversee Planned, Preventative and Reactive maintenance within the cold store and ambient complexes according to abilities and training, within the guidelines set out in the business Health and Safety Policy.
- Record and log daily running conditions of all plant.
- Liaise with operational management regarding weekly maintenance and requirements at the temperature controlled site. To ensure cold store temperatures (to include Blast freezer) and storage conditions are within their desired parameters and report any deviations to the operational management and your direct line managers.
- Oversee all contractors on site making sure they work within the guidelines set out in the business Health and Safety Policy and the correct permits and licences are in place.
- To generate orders using the order authorisation system and keep up to date records of all purchases made and apply a good purchasing policy on all purchases as set out in the business purchasing Policy.
- Ensure water treatment and testing is up to date and within tolerances
- To carry out weekend plant checks when requested by their line management.
- Complete all works and checks in line with the maintenance and inspection spreadsheet.
- Complete all reactive works required and enlist contactors where required.
- Maintain shelf stock spares and required based on availability and lead time.
Profile
Have worked within a Facilities Maintenance role
Be able to undertake ah-hoc duties within plumbing & building maintenance
Refrigeration/freezer equipment & environments
Electrical qualifications, 17th/18th edition and ideally have completed an electrical apprenticeship.
Be able to undertake all elements of Facilities Maintenance.
Job Offer
The role is being offered on a permanent basis with a maximum salary of £35,000
The working days/hours are Monday - Friday - 08:30 -17:00
