Job Details
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for a large healthcare organisation who is looking to appoint a Capital Projects Manager.
To provide strategic estates related advice for business case development and capital developments.
Main Responsibilities:
To provide strategic estates related advice for business case development and capital developments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop policies and strategies for the implementation of the capital programme to improve the built environment for patients and staff;
- Advise and report to the organisation on all matters relating to the building and infrastructure elements of the capital programme;
- Ensure that competent cost and feasibility advice is provided to project teams in developing the user brief for business cases;
- Set out protocols and ensure that these are implemented to ensure that briefs reflect user’s requirements;
- Monitor the financial status of programmes and projects, ensuring regular reports are available;
- Required to analyse, interpret and make judgements based on complex information and data.
- First degree in a property/engineering/architectural/engineering related discipline;
- Significant practical experience of management of construction projects;
- IT skills including Microsoft packages incl. Project, CAD software, risk management software;
- Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety on and around construction sites;
- Detailed understanding of the principles and practices of capital scheme procurement, construction project management and the processes used within the NHS;
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills, to enable effective working with in-house project teams.
