Working Pattern:
This is a full-time permanent post and our normal working week is 37 hours. We currently operate a wide variety of work patterns, successfully balancing lifestyle choices with business requirements. All requests for part time or flexible working hours will be seriously considered.

Working within the Facilities Management (FM) Office in our iconic building, we require an Asset Performance Manager to take account of the Parliament’s legal obligations and its strategic commitment to ensure that we provide a safe, secure and sustainable environment for Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs), their staff, parliamentary staff and the public.

A key role within the FM office, the post ensures that the building asset register is accurate and up-to-date, which in turn supports numerous key functions delivered by the office. The role also has responsibility for the delivery of the Facilities Management ‘Digital Transition Strategy’ which aims to make more effective use of building and asset related data and technology to optimise performance and maintenance of the building, its spaces and its assets.

Ideally, a member of a property related professional body, you will have a technical background with property or facilities related management experience and an understanding of asset management and maintenance management processes and strategies. You will have the ability to use various IT maintenance and knowledge-based solutions including CAFM, CAD and BMS. You should also be aware of current technology-based developments in terms of information management, common data environments (CDE), ‘Internet of Things’ (IOT) and be aware of 3D scanning technologies. In addition, you will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to project manage.
