PSD are currently working to recruit a Buildings Manager or Facilities Manager interested to work for a private Property Company who have a portfolio of commercial offices throughout the South East. We are looking for a practical, hands-on candidate with a proven track record of managing FM, Service Charging and Building Management in a commercial real estate setting. You will likely have developed your career having come up from one of the trades and will have a strong combination of the following skills and experience:

  • Candidates must have current commercial office (or similar) FM / PM experience
  • Contractor management for all reactive and planned maintenance works
  • Renegotiation of service charges where appropriate
  • Overseeing the day to day running of office buildings and facilities CAPEX and OPEX budgets
  • Managing the delivery of facilities services in line with the relevant service level agreements
  • Supervision of the portfolio in respect of service charge budgeting, rent collection, dilapidations, leasing and credit control
  • Preparation and submission of monthly reports on insurance claims and service charge expenditure
  • Reviewing leases, in particular the service charge clauses and landlord obligations
  • Providing input to asset managers from a premises management perspective prior to refurbishment and development
  • Ensuring Health & Safety compliance
  • Ensuring the correct services are in place for new and existing properties
  • MRICS Chartered Surveyor or BIFM / IWFM Facilities Manager preferable but not essential

The role will be largely field based.  The portfolio is mainly West of London so it is preferable if candidates live in the Guildford – Reading – Watford triangle.
