A large healthcare organisation is looking to appoint a senior Estates and professional, working on an interim basis to provide senior operational management to Estates Directorate.

Experience:
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Senior Estates Manager in the NHS acute sector or a substantial organisation.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of current technical requirements and legislation relevant to the post, e.g. HTMs, Health and Safety, Estatecode.
  • Proven experience in the delivery of organisation change and development.
  • Proven experience in the delivery of leading, management and
  • development of staff.
  • Proven experience in the delivery of quality enhancement of services within challenging financial targets.
  • Knowledge of strategic and service planning and an understanding of its relevance/impact on the services provided by the Trust.
  • A good working knowledge of the current NHS environment, e.g. Patient Choice, Best Value, PFI, Benchmarking, Improving Working Lives.
  • An expert knowledge of the NHS requirements impacting on the services provided by the Service Group e.g. project management, maintenance management, water safety, medical gas pipeline systems, energy and waste management, environmental management.
Qualifications:
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent technical qualifications.
  • Corporate membership of appropriate professional/technical institution.
  • Professional knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent, plus specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate courses and experience to master’s level or equivalent plus in-depth managerial, financial and strategic knowledge
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
