Interim Head of Technical Compliance
Our client is a Central London NHS Trust who are seeking to engage an Interim Head of Technical Compliance for 3-6 months to help provide strategic oversight across their diverse multi-site estate. They benefit from a well-established team of 30 professionals (with 6 direct reports) covering all aspects of statutory compliance, risk and assurance. The team span a wide brief including fire, decontamination, food safety, cleaning standards and ISO auditing.
The post holder will ensure the team carry out health and safety monitoring activities and audits to a professional standard across all activities of the Trust and advise on achieving robust systems of loss control and risk management. The team are responsible for preparing and coordinating a full programme of inspections and audits to measure effectiveness of safety management and demonstrate compliance with prescribed standards of health and safety. They will provide essential reports to management in a standard format, recommend actions required to improve performance and monitor progress of correction actions.
This role will suit health and safety/compliance professionals with a strong track record of managing large departments and embedding a culture of safety. The interim post will be for 3-6 months whilst they make a permanent appointment for which the interim would be open to apply.
