Job Title:                                 Senior FM Manager – Electrical LV/HV

Location:                                 Based at Harrods in Knightsbridge

Reporting to:                          Head of Facilities, Store Operations

Key Responsibilities:              

  1. Power management and future strategy
  2. Day to day management of the Electrical Engineering team
  3. Duty Manager tasked with management of all facilities operations
  4. Future Vision – Make innovative and lasting changes to a recognised institution
  5. Principle Tasks and Accountabilities

Ensure the electrical provision for all sites is designed, integrated, manned, operated and managed in a manner that ensures demonstrable compliance and meets the requirements of the business in the safest and most cost-effective way.

Ensure all works are carried out under a fully auditable permit system.

Ensure that all team members are demonstrably and appropriately qualified, trained and informed, in order that all operational requirements can be addressed by the duty shift in terms of 24/7/365 operation, maintenance and disaster recovery.

To be responsible for all formalised processes, procedures and records are managed in a fully auditable manner that ensures absolute compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements at all times.

Responsible for managing OpEx and capEx budgets for the Electrical provision with a tolerance of +0% to -5%

To see that all electrical systems and infrastructure is demonstrably in its optimal operating condition, has been subjected to all maintenance requirements and is statutorily compliant.

Consult with stakeholders to realise a 25-year capital management plan for all electrical infrastructure whilst providing leadership and direction to the tea through coaching, supporting and developing in order to maximise performance and identify potential.

Ensure a safe, sustainable and compliant provisions, of all above services, in terms of 24/7/365 operation, maintenance and disaster recovery, actively supporting the company’s environmental ambitions and targets through procurement, operation and disposal cycles.

Person Specification

We are seeking an expert in electrical Facilities Management, who is excited by this unique opportunity to work with a landmark British institution. As the successful candidate, you will have held a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) position in a previous role, with demonstrable experience in project management. You are a natural leader, self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, prestigious 5-star environment.

You will be versed in BS76671 Low Voltage Electrical Inspections & Testing (18th Edition IET Wiring Regs) and be able to derive and implement a comprehensive and formal Governance Structure for all positions with the Electrical Engineering hierarchy from the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) HV to Competent Person (CP) LV.

  • To be part of the Senior Leadership team, responsible for the implementation and delivery of the maintenance strategy
  • Proven track record of managing a 24/7 shift team
  • Ability to coach, teach, train and mentor others
  • Leading, developing and motivating staff
  • Influential within the team and industry bringing people on board whether customer or colleague

Skills:

  • An expert in electrical infrastructure, distribution, and associated asset base. Able to become the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) HV.
  • Extensive experience in electrical maintenance delivery and project management, with the ability to successfully manage associated budgets
  • Ability to manage a safe and compliant environment, adhering to statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to implement new technology to aid maintenance delivery
  • Able to deputise for the Head of Facilities and manage the facilities provision across the estate, both hard and soft services
  • Demonstrable experience in a fast-paced, challenging and ever-changing environment

Certifications and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Have currently hold or previously have held Senior Authorised Person (SAP) HV position
  • 18th Edition IET Regs
  • BS7671 Low Voltage
  • IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety

Desirable:

  • Authorised Person for Pressure Systems
  • Authorised Person – Confined Spaces
