Facilities Manager

Cobalt is working alongside a growing provider, who through a combination of strategic acquisitions and organic growth, have gone from strength to strength in 2020. Our client values innovation, and prides itself on it's ability to challenge the status quo and disrupt the property management industry, and so is looking for proactive, ambitious staff to join the team as they continue on their upwards trajectory.

This specific requirement will see you managing a portfolio of 3 retail and business parks in Kent, with 3 days a week based in Dover, and the other 2 being a mixture of home/site based at your own discretion. Ideally this role will suit an individual stepping up into a full-fledged FM role/solidifying your knowledge at this level, as the position will afford you a good deal of autonomy and responsibility, but with the safety net and mentorship of your Senior FM.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the key point of contact between your client, employer, and occupiers, in order to deliver a top-tier total FM;
• Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance to the building fabric and plant rooms, in addition to managing any necessary project works when required;
• Conducting regular site inspections of the properties;
• Setting service charge budgets in conjunction with your line manager;
• Managing the work of contractors for security, reception, and M&E;
• Ensuring full H&S compliance on site, and assisting with maintaining ISO 14001 and all other environmental obligations.

Our client has solid growth plans for next year and is intending on growing their portfolio in the region, making this a role with plenty of scope for progression. As such, you will be an ambitious and proactive individual with a keen enthusiasm for self-improvement within your FM career, whilst also bringing a solid foundation of FM experience within a total FM environment previously. An IOSH qualification is essential, whilst previous experience managing a service charge budget is strongly desirable.
