As the Quality and Performance Manager, your role will be to lead a team managing and supporting the integrated management system, central administration, continuous improvement and communications for the HMCTS (Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service) Security contract.

Your role will be to manage all integrated management system documentation, standards compliance and audits (including quality, health and safety, environmental, plus additional Standards and management plans required by the Contract), ensuring strict document and version control via OCS SharePoint and HMCTS Viewpoint systems.

Whilst the sites on this contract are Nationwide, this role is remote so there is flexibility on your base location (within England).

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and monitoring the overall internal and external audit and assessment timetable and procedures, liaising with the OCS central HSQE team and Security Governance Manager
  • Leading on IMS awareness and training
  • Presenting analysed data and insights that inform continuous improvement
  • Supporting presentation of monthly reports to the client
  • Leading on continuous improvement, coordinating, and facilitating improvement activity
  • Leading on communications across the contract, ensuring that information, achievements, and learning are collected, presented and cascaded through the most appropriate mechanisms to staff and stakeholders, supporting culture change and improvement
  • Ownership and management of the Communications and Engagement Management Plan for the contract, including stakeholder engagement and protection of the HMCTS and OCS brands within the contract
  • Ownership and management of the HSE Management Plan for the contract through HSQE Advisor line reports
  • Supporting the Court Security Director in culture change and One Team activity (collaborative approach with HMCTS and other Courts service providers)
  • Coordinating and presenting outputs and results delivered by operational teams as per the agreed Sustainability and Social Value Management Plan and related objectives and targets agreed with the client
  • Managing a team of administrators supporting all aspects of contract administration

Experience required:

Education/Qualifications

  • Understanding of contract-required ISO standards including, ISO9001 (quality management), ISO45001 (health & safety management) and ISO14001 (environmental management) systems
  • Health & Safety qualifications
  • Good Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills

Working experience/Personal attributes

  • Quality management experience, with a strong understanding of health and safety, sustainability and social value, ideally within the Security industry
  • Ability to document processes, procedures and business reports
  • Experience of auditing and audit programme management
  • Document control and organisation skills (ideally including knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint)
  • Able to provide analysis of data for corrective action and risk management
  • Excellent communicator, with experience of producing clear written communications
  • Must have the proven ability & experience to:

       - Manage a team of direct reports.

       - Write and maintain procedure manuals and process maps

       - Write reports and presentations (including contract monthly report narrative)

       - Manage libraries of information and records on Microsoft SharePoint or similar, maintaining strict document and version control.

       - Analyse and present data to inform reports, review meetings and continuous improvement activity.

       - Understand and explain KPIs and service measures and their impact on compliance

       - Facilitate and monitor improvement projects

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Facilitation/training skills
  • Office management (administration) experience
