Salary: Grade 9, £48,010 - £54,997 per annum. Appointments will normally be made to the first point of the grade.

The Royal College of Music (RCM) is one of the world's greatest conservatoires. The RCM also achieved an overall rating of gold for its outstanding teaching and learning provision for undergraduates in the first ever Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

The buildings of the RCM consist of the Grade II listed Prince Consort Road campus in South Kensington and the nearby RCM Jay Mews. The ambitious More Music campaign has sought to transform and expand the spaces available to students and visitors creating dynamic and vibrant new spaces with cutting-edge facilities that still preserve the iconic character of our surroundings.

We are seeking to appoint a Facilities & Operations Manager who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the RCM’s buildings as well as taking a leading role in the mobilisation strategy and implementation in collaboration with estates management colleagues.

The Facilities & Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all in-house and out sourced soft service FM provision and venue Front of House management, The Facilities & Operations Manager directly line-manages; in-house Facilities Supervisors, House Manager and Assistant Facilities & Operations Manager.

In addition to these in-house services, the Facilities & Operations Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of a number of outsourced FM services, including cleaning and security.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate an appropriate proven record of Estates Management and Facilities Management gained within a concert hall, theatre, arts venue, heritage site, historic building or higher/further education institute.

This post is offered on a fixed-term, full-time basis and is available for 8 months to October 2021.
