A role for a FM and Maintenance Manager with a strong Technical understanding (M&E, Automation, Data etc are ideal) who is seeking a position that is both stable and with opportunity to work on varied and challenging work, and does not require travel. This position would be ideal for someone who likes everyday to be different, and who has initiative, ideas and the personality to back those ideas up with positive action.

Description

Covering aspects of facilities, building maintenance and management across a site

Reporting into a Facilities lead, and managing a maintenance team

Managing reactive and planned maintenance activities for the upkeep of buildings, equipment and offices.

Resolve problems as they arise whether directly or by assembling teams to solve those issues.

Ensure a well-maintained, safe working environment and be first point of contact for all buildings and utilities related queries

Develop and maintain a strong safety culture

Profile

HNC/HND or Degree in Facilities management or Building services management, or relevant Technical or Vocational qualification.

Minimum IOSH qualified. Ideally NEBOSH or BIFM, and energy saving and environmental legislation understanding.

Experience in sourcing and dealing with suppliers, negotiating prices and running tender processes as well as a demonstrable track record of performance against quality and cost KPI's.

Ability to manage schedule, troubleshoot and multiple jobs concurrently

A natural problem solver with the ability to remain calm in demanding and high pressure situations along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to display initiative, attention to detail with evidence supporting ideas for improving the facilities or maintenance requirements

Able to manage a team. Able to develop the Facilities and Maintenance strategy

Comfortable leading and motivating a team to achieve their objectives as well as managing a busy workload within deadlines whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail.

Experience in a Logistics, Distribution, Warehouse or other related environment would be highly beneficial. Especially if that is an automated environment
