Job Details

An exciting new opportunity for an EBME Technician for a 3 month interim contract based onsite in Lewisham.

Job Summary:

  • To Provide specialised clinical technical services in order to repair, maintain and electrical safety testing of complex and patient critical used for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Communicate with clinical users to gain a full understanding of the nature of fault or problem with the medical equipment. Assess the seriousness of the issues and implications and respond appropriately to the urgency of the requests.
  • Contribute to the planned preventative maintenance systems for the above equipment.
  • Produce comprehensive reports for each repair/maintenance job carried out.
  • Provide first line training for clinical staff with in the Trust.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Training in the repair and maintenance of a number of key types of complex medical equipment.
  • At least 2 years hands on maintenance experience with general medical equipment.
  • Computer literacy (Word processing, Spreadsheets, Database, Maintenance management systems)
  • Appreciation of current software packages.
  • Good working knowledge of a broad range of electronic engineering principles and practical applications.
  • Understand and appreciation of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Good working knowledge of specialist areas of medical equipment management.
