Job Details

The Finegreen Group are currently supporting Strategic Healthcare Planning (SHP) in the recruitment of a Healthcare Designer. SHP was founded in 1996, working with the NHS and supporting healthcare activities across service, capital and estates planning to benefit patients. They have since expanded to the Private Sector and international healthcare providers, supporting major hospital developments to ensure clinical objectives are met.

Their expertise has been recognised world-wide, where they work with both Governments and their private sector partners. In addition to this, they support the preparation of successful business cases, estate strategies, care modelling on schemes of various sizes. It was this experience that given the NHS sufficient confidence to appoint SHP in the updating/re-writing of the Health Building Notes.

In 2014 SHP opened their office in Turkey, where they have helped deliver the national plan and influence the solutions of 22 hospitals providing acute, rehabilitation, psychiatric and forensic care. This track record of success has also open the opportunity for further progression into other international markets.

The primary objective of the Healthcare Designer is to support the delivery of Estates and Built Environment projects, ensuring the development and improvement of healthcare services and
facilities which are high quality and clinically and financially sustainable. The Healthcare Designer will be expected to operate as part of a team providing specialist advice to clients across a spectrum of capital and service development projects for all sectors of the health service.

Suitable candidates will be able to develop and design space planning solutions and options for estates and facilities across the health sector that respond to service reconfigurations. They will be able to produce critical appraisals of existing estates and input into estates strategies and development control plans.

Suitable candidates will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to develop trusted and effective relationships. They will need a good understanding of the current and changing NHS and wider healthcare environment, they will have excellent project management skills and a commitment to outstanding patient care.

If you are looking to join a dynamic organisation delivering world class healthcare projects, then we would welcome your interest and application.
