A large healthcare organisation is looking to appoint an experienced commercially minded SSD professional. You will be able to operational manage others, and want to be part of a thriving, developing service offering to all healthcare clients.
Ensure that NHS and private sector customers are supplied with sterile theatre instrument sets, sterile surgical instruments, sterile procedure packs, decontaminated flexible endoscopes, decontaminated, repaired & serviced bulky medical devices and sterile single-use items at the times, in the quantities and at the level of quality that they specify;
Hold direct management responsibility for the highly specialised services provided from the Central Decontamination Unit, the Medical Disinfection and Servicing Unit, a Central Endoscopy Unit, Supply Stores and the Dental Decontamination Training in Practice Unit;
Develop and drive forward decontamination strategies that will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously improving services. The Post Holder is responsible as the Management Representative for all accredited quality systems within the Departments managed;
Take the role of leading expert on decontamination to operate at a senior management level providing advice at Executive Director level and Divisional Lead level in partner organisations where these specialised services are provided;
Manage the SSD and MDSU marketing strategy, agreeing contract details with customers and managing the operational and profitable implementation of new contracts.
A successful candidate will have:
Degree in related specialist area (MSc in Decontamination is desirable);
Full membership of the Institute of Decontamination Sciences and current registration;
Excellent inter-personal and communications skills and the ability to write complex business cases, policies and Service Level Agreements;
Excellent oral presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information at all levels in the organisation.
