Job Details

The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the world's largest law schools. With an impressive history dating back to 1876, we employ over 900 staff and have over 14,000 students studying on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, along with an alumni network in excess of 100,000. We were the first-ever independent institution to be granted degree awarding powers and in 2012 we gained university title. With a rich heritage and a reputation for innovation and contemporary teaching practices, we continuously focus on developing the best legal and business minds. In 2016, we opened our leading Business School, further enhancing our reputation as a full service legal, business and educational training specialist, operating from campuses throughout the UK, Berlin and Hong Kong and an Online campus.

Reporting to the Director of Student Experience, Wellbeing & Inclusion, the role assists the Director with all case management, policy development, delivery of training, advice and guidance to all users of the University and to support the University’s compliance with regard to safeguarding. This is a proactive post where you will contribute to the development of resources to educate staff and students on issues relating to Safeguarding, Prevent and Welfare. You will also take the lead in arranging, promoting and/or delivering  initiatives to students and staff across the University.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Safeguarding and Prevent across higher or further education ideally with a strong knowledge of OFSTED inspections and processes.  The role will suit professionals with strong communication skills combined with meticulous attention to detail.  The University is growing across the UK so the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines is essential.

For a confidential discussion and a copy of our detailed candidate briefing pack, please contact our retained advisor Sian Gardiner at the Management Recruitment Group sian.gardiner@mrgpeople.co.uk  or alternatively 020 3962 9900.

Applications should consist of a CV and covering letter and should be sent to. sian.gardiner@mrgpeople.co.uk

Closing date for applications is Sunday 4th July 2021.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University - which does not reflect our diverse student body - we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.
