THE ROLE

The Regional Facilities Manager will take ownership of the management and delivery of all property maintenance across the designated region.A key member of the

To deliver high levels of service to operational management and ensure all sites are presented in the best possible condition to members on a daily basis, making a positive contribution to the performance of the business.

Main job activities:

  • To provide a professional service ensuring the Gym’s property portfolio is maintained and developed to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ensure that all gyms within designated region are attended no later than every six Weeks to complete property audit.
  • Deliver appropriate levels of service to critical areas, to maximise customer satisfaction and minimise member complaints and other adverse feedback.
  • Assist with the management of the outsourced facilities management provider ensuring best practices are in place and service levels maintained.
  • To project manage enhanced and maintenance capex projects.
  • To ensure that all works comply with relevant statutory requirements.
  • To ensure that all legal requirements are met and that The Gym maintains a robust system of statutory compliance in relation to principle areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure attendance at as many Regional Meetings as possible and ensure that feedback is acted upon.
  • Ensure effective management of allocated external contractors.
  • Provide Weekend on call support every 8 Weeks

Presentation and communication

  • Demonstrate effective communication with all areas of the business to ensure related property issues are appropriately represented and considered
  • Provide appropriate written and verbal presentation and reports as required

Handling issues and resolving problems

  • To provide critical FM support to the designated region.
  • To demonstrate an ability to fault find/diagnose site issue
  • To demonstrate an understanding of quoted works and how to resolve in a timely cost effective manner.

Delivering great service through the team

  • Ensuring all issues are resolved quickly and cost effectively.
  • Attending regular GM Meetings and Weekly Regional Manager Meetings.
  • Assist with issues on other regions to ensure one team support.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Highlight skills / capabilities / competence of the individual to do the role

Essential

  • Significant experience of facilities management within a large organisation.
  • Experience managing an outsourced facilities services provider across a multi-site platform.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets with strong financial, contract management and purchasing skills. Proficient in the use of common business software programs.
  • Solid operational facilities and property management experience together with the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Understanding and knowledge of industry trends and direction.
  • Excellent customer service and people skills and ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations. Solid experience collaborating with other business areas to meet company goals and standards.
  • Knowledge of property management, building maintenance, leases and construction terms and practices. Proven record of effecting strategic change and initiatives where prudent.

  • Knowledge and insight in fitness or related leisure industry sector
