Job Details

Our client, a leading corporate organisation, has requested for us to recruit a Group Health and Safety Manager, to take responsibility for compliance across all operations, as well as reinforcing a health and safety focused culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the health, safety and facilities management
  • Responsible to the Board of Directors for maintaining company compliance with Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice
  • To have up to date knowledge of the current Health & Safety, environmental and workplace legislation
  • To champion and promote occupational Health & Safety
  • Undertaking investigations when necessary into incidents on or off site which affect the company’s staff or customers with the objective of understanding cause and effect and where appropriate creating formal reports detailing recommended corrective actions
  • To provide guidance and support internally and externally using Health & Safety and facilities management expertise
  • Responsible for the safe upkeep of the facilities, including liasing with contractors to ensure work done is completed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures whilst on site

Requirements

  • Electrotechnical background with an industry recognised qualification
  • A relevant Health & Safety qualification (such as NEBOSH or NCRQ Diploma)
  • Health & Safety and site management experience within a similar environment (including working with electrical items)
  • Team leadership and contractor management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people
  • Drive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote and shape a positive Health & Safety culture
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
