ActionAid UK (AAUK) have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced part-time Facilities Officer to be based in our London Office.

ActionAid is an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. Our dedicated local staff are ending violence against women and girls and helping change lives, for good. We won’t stop until women and girls are out of danger, out of poverty and on track to create the future they want.

You will report to the Facilities and Security Manager, working within a team who manage the maintenance of the office and associated compliance. The team are also responsible for ensuring a safe environment for all staff and customers.

As Facilities Officer, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient provision of a range of essential business systems; you will ensure that the correct systems are in place and that they are followed correctly. These systems include those relating to the mail, courier services, stationery and office supplies and consumables.

A key and essential part of the team’s work is to ensure that every product and service sourced provides the best value for money.

You will be required to manage good working relationships with FM supplier contracts, gathering and analysing information to help reduce costs and get the best value for money.

Working alongside colleagues, you will ensure a professional, courteous, and welcoming initial point of contact for all visitors to the office.

It is essential that all applicants have proven experience in the delivery of a professional FM service within a similar environment.

 Applicants must also be able to demonstrate a commitment to customer service and that they have the ability to foster a customer service ethos amongst colleagues.

To succeed in this role, you must have experience of working at the Front of House, including working on a switchboard, along with experience of the day-to-day management of supplier relationships and of placing orders and managing associated financial processes.
