We have a great opportunity within the Facilities Management Service Team at Middlesex University for a Facilities Coordinator.  The Facilities Management (FM) Team are a multi-disciplinary team which is required to be effective and efficient in its delivery. The Facilities Coordinator is a key role and the post holder will work with, lead and direct the FM team providing an efficient, effective and quality operational facilities and maintenance service to the wider University community.

This is a hands on role that requires acting on and delivering prioritised workloads to meet the changing demands of the University population.

Principal Duties:

•Maintain the FM operations staff rota making sure all staff are aware of their shift patterns and responsibilities on a daily and weekly basis.

•Provide guidance and support to team on equipment, expectations and priorities set by FM Managers.

•Monitor performance of staff and deal with return to work interviews. Escalate instances of poor performance to FM Managers as appropriate.

•Use the Unicare system including hand held devices to retrieve and allocate reported jobs, complete reports and relevant Unicare paperwork, registers and logs in an accurate and timely manner and in line with departmental service level agreements (SLAs)

•Take responsibility for making sure statutory checks including fire alarm testing, flushing water systems and temperature checks for legionella prevention are carried out and recorded.

•Carry out minor maintenance works to a high standard and in compliance with Health and Safety guidelines and legislation, carrying out dynamic risk assessments and checks as required
