We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Property Management Team as the lead on Facilities Management, influencing and contributing to the broader strategic management of the Property Department.  You will play a leading role in shaping and delivering the ‘Our Workplace’ programme, linked to the Council’s Beyond Today Ways of Working initiative.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the non-schools’ operational portfolio is fit for purpose in terms of facilities, condition, compliance and health & safety.  You will also lead on how HCC’s operational property portfolio will contribute to the Sustainable Hertfordshire Strategy and our ambition for HCC’s operations to be Carbon neutral 2030. 

We are looking for a highly experienced, motivated and conscientious individual who will ensure quality FM services are delivered and developed and whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.  The post holder will manage both an internal workforce and contracts to deliver everything from day-to-day delivery of FM services to multimillion pound projects. 

You will need excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively and be a resilient leader capable of working in a complex and challenging environment.
