The Management Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with an established and world-renowned educational institution in London to appoint an Interim Health & Safety Advisor on an full time basis, for a period of 3 to 6 months in the first instance, paying £300.00 per day (PAYE, inside IR35).
Based at an impressive and dynamic campus, the interim health & safety advisor will be responsible for a diverse range of health and safety issues, including chemical and biological safety. Working closely with the Director of Estates and wider team, you will be responsible for the development and monitoring of existing safety systems and processes, ensuring that the appropriate training is delivered. Keeping high levels of compliance and audit as well as ensuring best practice is adhered to in respect to statutory obligations is essential, ensuring the environment is safe for staff, students and visitors. You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on a range of on safety, health and environmental issues, including assisting with specialist risk assessments in areas including COSHH, using Hazard Group 2 and 3 organisms, and risk assessments for using Radionuclides.
The successful candidate will have an extensive background of working within a Health & Safety advisory capacity within a clinical environment or organisation. You will hold a recognised health and safety qualification, have strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This is an interim role, so immediate/short notice availability is essential. Interviews and start dates are available immediately.
