The Management Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with an established charity to appoint an Interim Health & Safety Manager for a period of up to 6 months in the first instance, paying up to £250 per day (inside IR35, PAYE).

 

Based in Surrey, this charity specialises in working with young people who have acquired brain injuries. They provide expert rehabilitation, education, therapy and care at their specialist centre, based in a wonderful 24-acre site. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Health & Safety professional to join their estates team on an interim basis, to create, implement and lead a health and safety function across the estate. Keeping high levels of compliance and audit as well as ensuring best practice is adhered to in respect to statutory obligations is essential, whilst ensuring the environment is safe for staff, service users and visitors.

 

You will have in-depth knowledge and experience within the health and safety industry, including working within a service led environment. Experience of working within a healthcare, residential or education sector is highly desirable. You will be a strong communicator who can lead and chair senior leadership meetings, and have high levels of credibility to implement change and process. Experience of setting up a health and safety function is essential (including the initial set up of appropriate processes and controls for monitoring and reporting and establishing the performance standards required), as well as holding a NEBOSH qualification. This challenging and multi-faceted role will engage with teams and staff at all levels across the organisation and as such is expected to have excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to convey messages and information with professionalism and diplomacy.

 

A current enhanced DBS, including on the update service, is highly advantageous for this position.

 

This is an interim role, so our client are looking to review applications and hold interviews quickly. With the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
